Today, while I was driving my grandfather to his doctor's appointment, I complained about hitting 2 red lights in a row. My grandfather chuckled and said, "You always complain about the red lights, but you never celebrate the green ones."

Today, my father told me, "Just go for it and give it a try! You don't have to be a professional to build a successful product. Amateurs started Google and Apple. Professionals built the Titanic."

Today, as soon as my 5-year-old baby brother came into my room, I yelled at him to get out without even looking up at him. When he didn't listen and I turned around to yell again, I noticed he had a bowl of cherries (my favorite) in his hands. He said, "Sorry, I just wanted to share these with you."

Today, after a 72 hour shift at the fire station, a woman ran up to me at the grocery store and gave me a hug. When I tensed up, she realized I didn’t recognize her. She let go with tears of joy in her eyes and the most sincere smile and said, “On 9-11-2001, you carried me out of the World Trade Center.”

Today, I have an elderly patient who is suffering from a severe case of Alzheimer’s. He can rarely remember his own name, and he often forgets where he is and what he said just a few minutes beforehand. But by the stretch of some miracle (perhaps the miracle of love), he remembers who is wife is every morning when she shows up to spend a few hours with him. He usually greets her by saying, “Hello my beautiful Kate.”

Take the time to look at this video - Loved it!!! What a caring soul and such an adorable pair. This made my soul smile and I hope it does the same for you. Love comes in all shapes and sizes and this little hummingbird - definitely represents Love.

UPDATE!!! when she thought she was ready to leave (and she was) she flew off to her favorite patch of the back yard, and her instincts instantly kicked in, and now she's just like all the other hummingbirds. for those that are concerned that she has imprinted on humans and wouldn't survive in the wild, don't worry, she is thriving. she has even successfully migrated and returned back to my yard. and for those who think i didn't know what i was doing, i did NOT feed her plain sugar water. i went outside 3 times a day and caught flies from my compost bin in big bags, crushed them, and mixed them in as well. I also helped her learn to catch flies while flying (not in the video because you obviously wouldn't be able to see the flies). in the end, i don't think it could have worked out any better."

I love the ocean...the sea... I live in a place that I am surrounded by this element - water. Seeing this trailer made me ponder what are we doing wrong with our environment? What CAN we do to reverse the process of destroying this beautiful blue planet? As Eriel from Canada puts in one of the scenes, "Out of sight, Out of mind'.... I have to agree with her on this. Do we not care because it is not in our own backyard? We do live in a bubble society where our problems are our only problems and nothing else matter. Then, what is the solution? We can begin with Education! Our education is outdated. We need to start implementing in schools with different type of thinking, with more a humanistic approach to our society and to our environment. What's the next step? Consuming less and recycling more. We can not continue on this road and not have or feel a repercussion...

I dear hope that we can start changing things around, the Earth needs it, but most of all , WE need it.

Will it happen soon? It's up to you...
